Who is God?

God is the Creator of all things, the eternal and all-powerful Being who exists outside of time and space. He is the source of life, truth, and everything good. From the vastness of the universe to the intricate design of the human body, creation itself testifies to His power, wisdom, and love.

God is holy, meaning He is perfect and set apart from sin. He is also just, upholding righteousness and punishing evil. At the same time, God is merciful, offering forgiveness to those who seek Him, and gracious, blessing humanity with undeserved favor.

God’s love is unconditional. He doesn’t merely possess love—He is love. His love is seen most clearly in His desire to restore our broken relationship with Him through the work of Jesus Christ.

The Trinity

God is one Being but exists eternally in three persons:

1. God the Father - The Creator, Sustainer, and Provider. He oversees all things with wisdom and purpose.

2. God the Son, Jesus Christ - The Savior who took on human form to redeem us. Jesus is fully God and fully man, bridging the gap between us and God.

3. God the Holy Spirit - The Comforter, Guide, and source of strength for believers. The Holy Spirit dwells within those who accept Jesus as Lord, empowering them to live godly lives.

While the concept of the Trinity may be beyond full human comprehension, it reveals the depth of God’s nature and His perfect unity in diversity.

God’s Nature

• Omnipotent: God is all-powerful, able to do anything that aligns with His will and nature.

• Omniscient: God knows all things, past, present, and future. Nothing is hidden from Him.

• Omnipresent: God is everywhere at once, present with us at all times.

• Immutable: God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

• Faithful: God keeps His promises and remains constant even when we falter.

God’s Relationship with Us

God created humanity in His image, giving us the ability to love, reason, and choose. He desires a personal relationship with each of us, not out of obligation, but because of His deep love. Even when humanity sinned and turned away, God made a way for us to be reconciled to Him.

This way is through Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, defeating death. Through Jesus, we are offered forgiveness and eternal life.
